The secret society that started at Trailer Happiness in London's fashionable Notting Hill has now made its way to Adelaide. After many delays and raising of false hopes, February 2009 will finally see the first meeting of the Adelaide Rum Club at Cushdy Cocktail Lounge.

The club will follow the format of those chapters overseas and in the eastern states with the meetings being partly educational but mostly damn good fun.

We are looking for as many Adelaide venues and bartenders to get involved as possible and encourage input from everyone who has an interest in our favourite nectar.

Our Physical Home will be:

Cushdy Cocktail Lounge
279A Hindley Street
Adelaide, Australia

and to get in touch email: shaun@cushdy.com.au

And we have a Facebook page too!

Monday, April 6, 2009 at 8:00pm

April's meeting coincides with the release onto the Australian market of one of the worlds most sought after rums, Ron Zacapa.

Fingers crossed on Monday night we will have a bottle of the 23 & XO available for people so you can see for yourself why it has generated such a following overseas.

As we do not have a speaker lined up for this meeting we will be discussing the club and how it works so this is a great chance for you "virgin" rum clubbers to make an appearance.

Come one, come all. Entry is free.
