As an adjective it is an older English word than our noun, meaning "fine, excellent, great" and we have, for example, the 16th century term "rum booze" (again in OED) for "good liquor," among many other similar uses of rum leaning "good." So "rum-bullion" was obviously a name meaning "an excellent (refined) boiling, or boiled drink."

Thank you for showing interest in the Notting Hill Rum Club – that alone tells us you have two useful qualities: taste and curiosity!

The NHRC will take those two qualities and add passion and knowledge. Together this is, like Rum itself, a heady and potent concoction. Your enjoyment of rum will be enhanced…

The principle and rules are simple

1. You pay £10 to register and you get your Members Card held behind the bar.
2. Your Card lists Thirty Six rums that we sell at Trailer Happiness – these are the House Rums.
3. Every time you drink one of the House Rums, as you want it, we cross it off on your Card. Only FOUR Rums can count every visit
4. The Bartenders or Manager are here to advise and guide you in your choices Tuesday through Thursday.
5. The House Rums will be charged at 50ml prices, regardless of style of drink.
6. Once you have drunk all the House Rums you are a Full Member and you can sample the Members’ Rums
7. The Members’ Rums are rare, limited edition or fantastically expensive. Members are encouraged to donate suitable rums if inclined.
8. Members’ rums are charged at Cost Price.
9. Only Full Members can drink or donate Members’ Rums
10. Full Members shall be  publicly acknowledged within Trailer H and may consider themselves Tiki Gods.
11. A once monthly private meeting for Members and Full Members shall be held and much rum drunk. Hurrah!
